Stage 3, BA (Hons) Architecture
After investigating Margate’s social, economic, cultural and environmental background, both projects were designed in relation to the creative arts to bring life and an energetic atmosphere back into Margate. The extension to Theatre Royal features an art exhibition to inspire creativity amongst the community, whilst the Culinary Arts School Association in Cliftonville improves the health and well-being of locals. Both schemes aim to modestly modernise Margate’s architectural language whilst still preserving its rich heritage.
