St. Andrew’s Chapel in Boxley is of significant historical, architectural and archaeological value. The report completed on the building consists of a conditional survey of the current building, historical analysis and conservation strategy designed to develop the site for new use. By considering the different phases and development of the building, it is possible to determine the chronology of St. Andrew’s and its journey from a 15th-century monastic chapel to the 20th-century dwelling that remains today. A conservation strategy was developed from this evaluation to preserve the building’s original fabric and ensure its survival for future generations.
