Stage 5, MArch

‘Makerspace Whitstable’ is a project focused on the aggregation of forgotten crafts around the coastal town. The proposal aimed to revitalise the social worth of the surrounding urban realm, by reintroducing lost industries in manufacturing and artisanship, such as pottery, textiles, and joinery. Communality and industry were combined to enable a hybrid form of creativity, as well as a termination point for the high street’s social character.
