Stage 3, BA (Hons) Architecture

The Margate Hydrotherapy Spa is influenced by the historical context of the Cliftonville Baths and the 1930s Lido. The existing rotunda is the focal point of circulation. The baths are a private space whilst the landscape and other facilities integrate with the community.

The intervention for the Theatre Royal Margate resolves practical challenges. A new roof provides overhead space for equipment and unobstructed views of the stage. The façade is an interpretation of theatre masks.
